An Open Stitch Cardigan That Zips
The stitch on this cardigan is deliberately open, worked in a wide mesh that shows what is underneath. A full-length zip and a ribbed bomber collar give it more structure than the stitch alone would suggest.
Structure Against Openness
Ribbing runs around the collar, cuffs and hem to frame the mesh body and stop the edges rolling. The zip is a single pull on a flat tape, and the sleeves are set with a slight drop at the shoulder. Six shades run from beige and black through to a deep maroon.
How to Wear It
Layer it over a fitted vest or a slip so the mesh reads as texture rather than transparency. With straight jeans and flat boots it works as a light jacket indoors.
