Shirt Shape, Jacket Weight
The Women's Quilted Shirt Jacket takes a shirt's proportions, spread collar and button placket and straight hem, and builds them in a diamond-quilted panel. It sits at the hip and cuts close enough to layer under a coat. The collar folds flat rather than standing at the neck.
The Layer Between Layers
Two patch pockets sit at the hip and the cuffs button at the wrist the way a shirt cuff would. The quilting keeps the shape crisp, so the jacket does not go limp after a week on a hook. Over a shirt it works as a jacket; under a coat it works as a mid-layer.
How to Wear It
Wear it over a striped shirt with straight jeans and loafers, leaving the shirt collar out. Buttoned to the top it reads neater; open over a jumper it reads relaxed. Keep the trousers straight rather than wide.
